Application Update

Welcome to the dedicated consultation website on the proposals for a new home for Queen Mary University of London’s School of Business and Management.

Queen Mary University of London is bringing forward proposals to redevelop the former Hatton House site with a new home for the School of Business and Management on the Mile End Campus. We are pleased to share that the planning application has now been submitted to Tower Hamlets Council, following our public consultation earlier this year.

At the centre of the proposals is a six-storey building for a dedicated School of Business and Management, as well as the wider enhancement of 357 Mile End Road and improvements to public spaces. The plans will deliver numerous benefits to both students and the wider community. You can find out more on the ‘Our Proposals’ page. On this page you can also view our flythrough video of the site.

We’d like to thank everyone who has provided their feedback on the plans to date. Following the validation of the planning application, the statutory consultation has now opened for comments. If you’d like to share a comment on the proposals, you can view the live application via the Tower Hamlets planning portal here by searching for the reference PA/22/00951.

If you did not take part in the consultation or have any questions, we’d be happy to discuss any questions with you. Please visit the ‘Contact’ page for more information.

We look forward to continuing to engage with members of the community in coming months. The planning application will be decided by Tower Hamlets Council later this year.
